Nippers ( 5-14 years)

Children learn about surf awareness and safety through the “SurfEd” program. As they get older they are able to participate in board paddling, surfing, swimming, sprinting, wading and fun activities and games, dependent on their ages and abilities. At WBPSLSC the emphasis is on having fun whilst developing skills.

Practicing these skills helps develop competence and confidence in the surf environment. It also allows children to compete in Club, Regional and State life saving carnivals. Surf Life Saving Australia (SLSA) also conducts junior development camps in every state as well as the National Junior Surf League and Development Program.

Most Nipper activities are conducted at 9.30am on most Sunday mornings during the season with additional events and training days if your child wishes to attend.

Seniors (15 years and older)

The level of involvement is dependent of the person, but as a senior member you will be able to attend our sessions such as board training, swim training, ironman training, ski training, run sessions and gym sessions.

if you wish to take a less active role you can assist in patrolling the beach, water safety, attend skill development courses such as First Aid and Bronze Medallion.
