Great results at NSW Pool Champs
Warilla-Barrack Point SLSC enjoyed some fantastic results over the weekend at the NSW State Pool Rescue Championships in Woy Woy, finishing in 9th position overall for the junior pointscore.
This year the U11’s were also invited to compete and it resulted in a fun and competitive day for our junior crew who consisted of:
U11 – Molly Halliwel, Montana Doubell, Makynli Dale, Demi Neall.
U12 – Jackson Walsh, Logan Doubell, Xavier Davis, Jarlee Carberry
U13 – Brock Neall, Jackson Sheedy, Bree Hlis, Tylah Richards, Ivy Halliwel
U14 – Bailey Krstevski, Nathan Robinson, Kirra Dale, Zeely Carberry
Congratulations to these athletes who represented WBP with pride and demonstrated great sportsmanship. There was lots of smiles, PB’s and even a few medals. WBP made a positive impact in the water with many athletes/teams finishing in the top 10 and a couple just narrowly missing out on a medal!
Congratulations to the following athletes for their medal placings:
Jackson Walsh (U12) – Silver 50m Brick Carry, Bronze 100m Obstacles
Jackson Walsh & Logan Doubell (U12) – Silver Line Throw
Kirra Dale (U14) – Silver Manikin Carry, Silver Freestyle with Fins
Nathan Robinson (U14) – Bronze Manikin Carry
Nathan Robinson & Bailey Krstevski (U14) – Gold Line Throw
We would like to extend a very big thank you to Matt Sperring and Laura Claridge who dedicated many hours over the last few weeks educating our youth team about the ins and outs of pool rescue. Matt and Laura were instrumental in our team preparation.
